DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Lengthy-haul service Emirates stated Thursday it would buy 15 further Airbus A350-900s value $6 billion after a spat between the airline and the European producer went unusually public throughout this week’s Dubai Air Present.

The Emirates’ order, far smaller than initially anticipated, got here after the airline and its sister service FlyDubai bought $63 billion value of plane from Boeing Co. initially of the weeklong present, which comes as worldwide journey has rebounded following the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, Emirates President Tim Clark signaled the service would maintain off on a serious buy of Airbus A350 plane over issues about their Rolls-Royce engines. Rolls-Royce vigorously disputed Clark’s feedback about what he described as the extra upkeep required for them.
