MANILA, Philippines–Neil Etheridge headlined the 26-man lineup the Philippine Azkals can have for his or her first two matches within the second spherical of the World Cup/Asian Cup Qualifiers this month.

Etheridge will probably be joined by gamers who’ve been common fixtures since coach Michael Weiss’ return when the Azkals tackle Vietnam on Nov. 16 and Indonesia on Nov. 21, each at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Atletico Madrid U-19 participant Santi Rublico, Japanese-based Jefferson Tabinas, Jesse Curran, Christian Rontini and veterans Carli de Murga, Daisuke Sato and Simone Rota are the defenders who’re going to be tapped to place up a robust effort on the again towards their fellow Southeast Asian foes.

Kevin Ray Mendoza and Patrick Deyto, in the meantime, are going to be secondary choices behind Etheridge on the goalkeeping spot.

The Azkals have been drawn in a tricky Group F that included Iraq, with two spots for the third spherical of the World Cup Qualifiers and the Asian Cup at stake.
