NEW YORK — Justin Torres’ novel “Blackouts” has received the Nationwide E-book Award for fiction.

On Wednesday evening, the nonfiction prize was awarded to Ned Blackhawk’s “The Rediscovery of America” and younger individuals’s literature was received by Dan Santat’s “A First Time for Every part.” Craig Santos Perez’s “from integrated territory (åmot)” was cited for finest poetry, and Stênio Gardel’s “The Phrases That Stay,” translated from Portuguese by Bruna Dantas Lobato, received for literature in translation.

Oprah Winfrey gave an emotional keynote handle through the dinner ceremony at Cipriani Wall Avenue, and honorary medals had been introduced to poet Rita Dove and to Paul Yamazaki, a longtime bookseller at San Francisco’s famed Metropolis Lights retailer.
